:: TR Pals – Deep Sleep Push-Backs ::

One of the strongest predictors of healthy ageing appears to be quantity of deep sleep — the stage linked to physical repair, brain clean-up, memory consolidation and recovery.

Over the last few months I’ve been trying practical ways to improve mine.

By changing a few habits I’ve increased average deep sleep from around 38 mins to 56 mins per night — still plenty to improve as target’s 65+ minutes, but heading in the right direction.

I’m increasingly convinced that small improvements in a few key metrics can significantly improve healthy lifespan and energy as we age.
